Huntersfield Addition

The owners of this home had a problem. The builders of their existing deck had attached the deck directly to the house without the use of flashing or other building protection, and the rain and meltwater was simply entering the building envelope and into the basement. The sheathing and supporting framing had rotted, and the structure was compromised. The owners wanted a new deck, but screened in and covered, to create a three-season sunroom. They asked Revision Built to come up with a design, and after having consulted with the owners at our next meeting, we agreed that for an additional 25% of the cost of a three season room, they could have a heated 4-season room, enjoying the extra living space 100% of the time. They were sold on the idea.

We started this job in mid-October 2015, and finished a week before Christmas 2015, allowing them to enjoy the space over the holidays. We also installed the interlock and driveway at the exterior, completing their wish list.
