The new owners of this Manotick Estates house approached our booth at the Ottawa Spring Home Show in March 2018 as they searched for the right company to update the property prior to moving in. The finishes and layout of the house were in early 1990s style, so looked dated. They were looking for a company they could trust to put their vision into place for them. After we talked about their requirements, we found that we were a good fit and took on the job.
The renovation would include removing load-bearing walls and installing flush beams; replacing main floor ceilings; adding LED recessed lights and replacing receptacles, switches and light fixtures; installing a new hardwood staircase and all new flooring; and more. We obtained permits, engineering drawings, and lined up all of our trusted partner trades. Demolition started November 7 as soon as the permits were in, and we were 99% finished by December 21 as promised, the day the moving truck arrived.
